The Hand of God

During the first eight centuries A.D., the "Manus Dei" or the Hand of God emerging from the clouds, was the only acceptable symbol for God, the Father. It emphasizes the fact that while man-made religions are but feeble attempts to reach out in search of God, Christianity presents an Eternal Father reaching out, in love, to a lost and dying world.
